‘Sleepyhead’ is a very sad and dark story, written by WA, award winning playwright, Nathaniel Moncrieff. It is being presented each evening at 9.00 in The Blue Room Studio, 53 James Street, Northbridge, with performances until the 10th February.

‘The White Divers of Broome’ is an adaptation of the third novel by ex-barrister, John Bailey. This version is by the NIDA trained and Australian award-winning playwright, Hilary Bell. Hilary is the daughter of John Bell, of ‘Bell Shakespeare’ fame. Hilary last proved her immense talent when she gave us the 2007 Deckchair Theatre’s fabulous and ingenious play about a feral girl, ‘Memmie Le Blanc’.

It has been revived in a brand new form for the ‘Summer Nights’ season by Renegade Productions. ‘The Day the Sky Turned Black’ is a 55-minute play, written and performed by Australian actor, Ali Kennedy-Scott, returning to her home country after theatre training in the UK, which was followed by an extensive tour of this show.
This Australian First is presented in the PICA Performance Space, James Street, Northbridge. Book through The Blue Room Theatre or PICA to get your tickets for $5 less than the standard Fringe World prices. The shows are nightly at 6.30 pm, the season runs until the 4th February.
Three years ago, in February 2009, Victoria was ravaged by fire.
