In the lead-up to the world premiere of The Beast and The Beauty, the Old Mill Theatre is offering a special evening with playwright David Stevens and director Mark DeFriest.
David Stevens is a Hollywood writer and director, best known for The Sum of Us, A Town Like Alice and Breaker Morant.
Mark DeFriest is a veteran of more than 800 hours of television drama in the US and Australia with credits including Cop Shop, The Sullivans, Carson’s Law, Prisoner, The Flying Doctors, Chances, Ocean Girl, Ship To Shore, Streetsmartz and the Doctor Who spin-off K-9, among many others.
Get up close and personal with them on Monday, June 18, and gain a fascinating insight into their various careers over the past 40 years. How *did* Hollywood survive David Stevens? What prompted Mark to direct David’s latest work?
There’s also a chance to ask your own questions in a frenetic fun evening of fervour, frivolity and feelings galore.
The FREE event kicks off at 6.30pm with a complimentary glass of champagne on arrival. Bookings are essential on 9367 8719 or oldmilltheatre@iinet.net.au.
