Foreign film extras in Australia

Hi all,

Does anyone know if it is possible for a UK national to seek film extra work on the working holiday visa? Does the MEAA union prevent this or is extra work on screen and stage open to all?

I will be in Aus soon and would like to work as a film extra if I can.

Check the conditions of your working visa- as I know when I was just in the UK on a working holiday visa (from Australia), the only jobs that were out of the question were doctor, sportsmen and self-employed- and so the entertainment industry was definitely ok. Hope that helps. Thira
