Midland area?

Skybe | 01/04/2010 - 08:53

I have a work friend that would like to look at joining a theatre group for the first time. As I'm in Mandurah I have no idea what groups are Midland way. Any ideas???

Thanks!

None in Midland itself (as far as I am aware) but you have;

  • Garrick in Guildford,
  • Marloo in Darlington,
  • KADS in Kalamunda,
  • Ellenbrook Theatre in ... Ellenbrook.

Not familiar with Blak Yak performing in Vic Park - they've variously performed in Gosnells, Murdoch, Subiaco, Maylands and Northbridge over the years.

I didn't say Performed, they are based in Vic Park (according to their Company Profile) and have performed as you have pointed out, mostly South of the River.

Hi All,

Yes Blak Yak is performing and rehearsing 2 Productions in Midland this Year at the Midland Junction Arts Centre.

Arsenic and Old Lace is already cast apart from a small male role. We had a great turn out to auditions.
It will be performed in the last 2 weeks of June.

Auditions for Reefer Madness the musical will be held in a couple of weekends time and rehearsed and performances will also be a MJAC. There is talk of perhaps touring the show as well.

We have our P.O box in East Vic Park as it is a central location and it has suited our secretaries over the years but I don't recall ever performing there.

As mentioned in previous post, we have performed all over the Perth Metro area. Where ever we can get a spot basically. Yes its a hard knock life for us nomadic Community theatre groups;)

Cheers
