Hamid, Ali Baba’s good-looking son - (could this be a girl in a ‘trouser role’?
Cassim, Ali Baba’s brother - it might help the effect if he is short
Zaida, Cassim’s wife - it might help the effect if she is tall - is SHE the dame?
Morgiana, - Cassim’s slave girl and Hamid’s lover (sighhhhhh)
Hassan, the Robber Chief - a cross between Captain Hook & The Joker?
Wak Wak - Hassan’s sergeant
Mukkadam - Enchanter of the Forest, and leader of Imps and things
A Policeman
The chorus are a motley crew of Bagdad citizens, robbers and anything else Janet and Marj might introduce. There will be some speaking roles.
The Children’s Chorus will include imps and - oh - just be prepared.
Rehearsals will start immediately in after 10th October and continue till the season opens 1st January to possibly 17 January 2012.

The play is an American farce Whose Wives Are They Anyway and it will be directed by Arthur Goad. Two senior executives plan a golfing weekend away while their wives are off somewhere. Their new boss arrives and wants to see their wives - ”no-one who goes golfing at the weekend without their wife will ever work for me”. They have to produce some wives urgently - then it gets complicated - and complicateder.

Auditions will be at the Weld Theatre cnr Queens & Adelaide Streets on 17 January 2011 at 7:30pm. The day after the last performance of the pantomime. Please be on time as there is a lot to get through. The show is the comedy "Uproar In The House" by Anthony Marriott and Alistair Foot. All parts in the cast are for adults.
