This beloved Gilbert and Sullivan comic opera has been adapted, with great success, for younger budding actors, singers and dancers. This romantic story of young lovers, duty, swashbuckling pirates, eccentric major-generals and most intriguing paradoxes is bound to wow the Eltham Little Theatre audiences in the hands of our wonderful youth performers.  Fun for all patrons of any age.

In this play by Stephen Adly Guirgis, the central role of Jackie (Demetrios Sirilas) is a recovering alcoholic on parole. Jackie, like most of the characters in this play, is intensely passionate. I'm just not sure what about. Love, presumably.

So Melissa Bergland, who began her career in theater and continues to do so, made it big on screen playing a main role in Channel Seven's TV series "Winners & Losers". She won a Logie this year for "Most Popular New Talent" and has since decided to join fellow actors Deniz Akdeniz,"Tomorrow When The War Began", Eliza Taylor, "Neighbours" and Producer Robert Galinsky (producer of $40 Million feature film "Dust & Glory" with director Simon West) at an acting school in Melbourne called The Actors Nest.

Never exposed to Shakespeare in my schooling or home life and concerned that my $75 ticket was going to amount to nothing more than 150 minutes of sheer confusion, I visited the Bell Shakespeare website and downloaded the learning guide for Macbeth.
