On the reverse of the licence agreement from Dominie appear the words"...all advertising matter shall be printed in a manner to make clear that the audience will witness a performance by a company of amateurs"Possibly, like me you have not fully realised the meaning of this stern command! (until now)
I wrote to Dominie for clarification and am told that the words" this is an amateur performance" - or wording to that effect MUST appear in ALL advertising which apparantly includes the programme. A letter to this effect is now going out along with the licence agreement. It would seem that 'this rule is not being adhered to'leading to 'some people' being unaware that they are watching an amateur performance!!!!!!!!!
Just a word of warning to all producers of Dominie controlled plays.
