The Swan Hill Theatre Group was established over fifty years ago as the 'Swan Hill National Theatre, by its founder- Director the late Mrs. Marjorie McLeod B.E.M.

In 1976 its own theatre building was acquired at 47 McCrae street and is managed by a board of directors of Swan Hill Theatre Group Co-operative Ltd.

As an amateur Theatre Group, it is renowned for its high standard of productions and cultural input to the Swan Hill District.
