Company information
Based at Gorman House Arts Centre, Canberra Youth Theatre is the longest established youth theatre in Australia, with a high profile and an unequalled reputation in theatre creation and imaginative community based work.
At CYTC young people (8 to 25 years old) work with professional artists (directors, tutors, designers, etc..) in semester & holiday workshops, special theatre projects, and (drum roll) productions. Each year CYTC presents productions of varying size and scope for young and older audiences, and has toured original youth theatre productions overseas and to most major cities in Australia.
Canberra Youth Theatre often works with other youth and arts organisations in arts and community development projects.
CYTC is supported by its members, the ACT Government through artsACT and the Commonwealth Government through the Australia Council, its arts funding and advisory body.
