atyp is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated exclusively to the growth and development of young people through the performing arts.

1.Workshop Program
atyp provides workshops in all areas of creative performance including acting, writing, directing, acting for camera, circus skills, music theatre, voice skills and comedy
.2. Production Program
atyp engages young people in all aspects of theatre productions. atyps production program includes regular performances at its home at the Wharf, productions at venues such as the Sydney Opera House and performances within major festivals such as the Sydney Festival (2000, 2002, 2004). In addition atyp productions have toured internationally, most recently to Britains National Theatre in 2003.
3. Education Program
atyp provides education programs in Sydney and across NSW that complement and extend the junior and senior performing arts curriculum. atyp conducts 150 education workshops per year, for over 3000 young people
4. National and Regional Programs
atyp consults and collaborates with regional communities throughout Australia taking tutors, workshops and performance-based experiences into these communities.
Many significant Australian artists have spent formative time at atyp - among them Nicole Kidman (atyp's Ambassador), Toni Collette, Rose Byrne, Aden Young, Michael Gow, Baz Luhrmann, Felix Williamson, Rupert Reid, Adam Cook, Lisa Hensley and Victoria Longley.
