Company information
Shopfront Theatre for Young People has been producing innovative and contemporary work by young people in South Eastern Sydney since 1976. We have a strong reputation for developing and producing work that engages with the experiences of a culturally diverse range of youth. We produce several productions, four terms of workshops and an extensive outreach program each year. Young People have a voice at all levels of the company's operations. We have 3 full time staff- artistic director, theatre outreach worker and general manager.

It's 1886 in a bark hut on the Darling Downs. Things are dire for the Rudd family, the drought is biting and the bills are mounting up. Will Dad find a way of paying the bills? Will the bear industry save their bacon? Will Sarah find true love? Will Joe ever learn? Will the mystery of the Rudd’s adopted son be solved? And will it rain by Christmas?
