OzOpera is the touring, education and development arm of Opera Australia. Based in Melbourne, it undertakes an annual regional tour (Carmen in 2005-7), primary schools performances in Victoria and New South Wales, new operatic commissions, workshops, access activities such as Sing Your Own opera and collaborations with other arts organisations, Festivals and educational institutions such as Windmill Performing Arts, Malthouse, Australian Youth Orchestra, Victorian College of the Arts and the University of Melbourne. It is under the artistic direction of Richard Gill.
