The understudy who becomes a star overnight is one of showbusiness's best loved stories. When, in 1934, the fate of a charity concert in Cleveland, Ohio (which has been sold out to 1000 customers and is to be followed by a party involving 50lbs of shrimp mayonnaise) is in jeopardy because the Italian Tenor hired to sing the lead has fallen into a drunken stupor and is presumed dead, the impresario's diminutive, docile assistant, with operatic ambitions, backs up and wins acclaim as Otello. The tenor awakens, dons his costume, and thence follows an hilarious comedy of confusion in which the two Moors are absurbly confused by swooning females. Add a volatile Italian wife, an outrageous bellhop and a cynical impresario and you have a recipe to rival the classic farces.

Ticket Price includes a light supper and a glass of wine. BYO Drinks and Nibbles - Cabaret Style Seating.
