Written by David Hare, the British playwright (The Blue Room, The Hours, Plenty, Amys View), this multi-award winning play centres on the relationship between Irish playwright, poet and critic Oscar Wilde and young British aristocrat Lord Alfred "Bosie" Douglas.
Speculating on what might have happened behind closed doors, Hare deals with delicate and intimate issues, particularly those of Wilde's personal life. His love for "Bosie" caused him to make great personal sacrifices and endure heartbreaking betrayal.
