Synopsis

Sweet Charity is basically about one young woman and her dream to fall in love with Mr. Right. She finds Oscar and thinks this is the one, but there is one thing stopping them, from being together, the fact that Charity is a dance hall hostess.

The play is based around the Fandango Ballroom and the adventures of Charity and the girls

Cast List

Charity Hope Valentine - Young girl between the ages of 18 and 30. She is good hearted and naïve. She has this unstoppable urge to fall in love and live happily ever after.

Helene - Older than the other girls with wisdom and experience on her side. The 'mother' of the dance hall girls.

Nicki - Best friend to Charity. A lot younger than the other girls. Fairly optimistic.

Carmen - Dance Hall hostess with Charity.

Herman - The owner of the Fandango Ballroom. A humbug.

Vittorio Vidal - The most famous movie star of the time.

Ursula March - The girlfriend to Vittorio. Very jealous and melodramatic.

Oscar Lindquist - The love interest of Charity. Very shy and reserved.

Daddy Brubeck - The reverend at the Hippy Church. A very cool cat. About 30-45 years of age
