A Rare Brecht. Of special interest to Australians as it is based on George Farquhar's "The Recruiting Officer", the first play ever to be performed in Sydney.
Under the direction of Maeliosa Stafford, who directed the successful production of "The Cripple of Innishman" at Sydney Theatre Company and former Artistic Director and Actor of the Druid Treatre Company in Ireland, this production brings its own style to the text, using influences from Restoration Comedy to the socialist rock Billy Bragg and of course Brecht!
