It was a sell-out success in Queensland back in 1999 and now its here in Perth just in time for the School Holidays. Dont miss this delightful new Childrens Musical from Act 5.
Mr McGregors Pond is a bright, new, original childrens musical which tells the story of Flip the Frog and all of her friends that live on the pond at the McGregors house. It is Flips birthday and she thinks that everyone has forgotten. While Flips friends are trying to organise her surprise party, the evil toad, Cedrick, is up to his usual tricks, looking for trouble and trying to take over the Pond with all of his slimy buddies. It is up to Flips friends to be brave and try and save the day.
This enchanting tale, performed by a cast of ten energetic young actors, is aimed at young children, who really enjoy the large over-the- top colourful characters, songs, physical humour and interaction.
Writer and Director, Paula Phythian, wrote the show back in 1999 where it was first produced in Queensland. After moving to WA last year, Ms Phythian joined German Director Allan Mathiasch and began teaching workshops and creating performances as part of Act 5. This year, Ms Phythian re-wrote Mr Mc Gregors Pond to include a selection of original songs. The new version is on show for the first time this October at Sorrento Community Hall.
Mr McGregors Pond is being performed from October 9-14 at Sorrento Community Hall, Padbury Circle, Sorrento. The weekday and the Saturday shows begin at 11am, and the Sunday show begins at 2pm. Tickets are $8.00 for both Adults and children. For bookings phone Paula on 9307 1185 or 0409 277 175.
