It was a sell-out success in Queensland back in 1999 and now it’s here in Perth just in time for the School Holidays. Don’t miss this delightful new Children’s Musical from Act 5.

Mr McGregor’s Pond is a bright, new, original children’s musical which tells the story of Flip the Frog and all of her friends that live on the pond at the McGregor’s house. It is Flip’s birthday and she thinks that everyone has forgotten. While Flip’s friends are trying to organise her surprise party, the evil toad, Cedrick, is up to his usual tricks, looking for trouble and trying to take over the Pond with all of his slimy buddies. It is up to Flip’s friends to be brave and try and save the day.

This enchanting tale, performed by a cast of ten energetic young actors, is aimed at young children, who really enjoy the large over-the- top colourful characters, songs, physical humour and interaction.

Writer and Director, Paula Phythian, wrote the show back in 1999 where it was first produced in Queensland. After moving to WA last year, Ms Phythian joined German Director Allan Mathiasch and began teaching workshops and creating performances as part of Act 5. This year, Ms Phythian re-wrote Mr Mc Gregor’s Pond to include a selection of original songs. The new version is on show for the first time this October at Sorrento Community Hall.
