The Music Theatre Guild of Victoria Inc. Awards for Excellence are designed to acknowledge talent that might otherwise go unrecognised. They are a recognition of the achievements of many companies, big and small.

As well as the presentation of awards, the Gala features performances from many outstanding productions during the year from all over Victoria.

The 2001 Awards Night Gala will be hosted by Geelong Lyric Theatre Society Inc, directed by Darylin Ramondo and

musically directed by Geoff Tomkins.
