August Strindberg

Sally Richardson

Hot on the heals of Strindberg's A Dream Play (Perth International Arts Festival), Sally Richardson's adaptation of this theatre classic is in a style akin to Australia's own My Brilliant Career. With its unique and entertaining production style, the stage space is laid bare as the cast and crew - with the aid of video - document and reveal the process of creating the magical world of Miss Julie. Through the eye of the camera we enter into the process of theatre creation as the audience, along with the cast, follows the process of 'chasing Miss Julie'.
