When Janice shot Huey’s dog, he divorced her. Three years later, he wants her back.

‘Italian American Reconciliation’ is the comic tale of Huey’s confused attempt to win back his shrewish ex-wife Janice. With the help of his best friend, Aldo, Huey devises a plan to reconcile with Janice. Aldo however, has a well-intentioned plan of his own. Aldo thinks Huey is better off with his current girlfriend Teresa. Teresa agrees.

With the wise Aunt May close by to clean up the emotional wreckage, Aldo proposes a little reconciliation of his own with Janice to save Huey from a love worse than death.

In John Patrick Shanley’s modern folk tale of love and relationships in New York, we learn that, amongst other things, “It takes a woman with big feelings to kill a mans’ dog. A real Bloody Mary.”

"a lovely play, bathed in moonlit madness”
