AWAY explores the fascination that Australians have with getting ÁWAY from it all; going down to Rye, or up to Queensland, or out to Uluru, or up to the Daintree, or Port Douglas, or just down to the river with a tent and a fishing rod. Problem is, more often than not, we tend to get away but still take our problems with us.

Set in 1968, this is the delightful scenario that AWAY explores: what happens when 3 sets of couples head AWAY for the Christmas break? What happens when two of their teenage children are beginning a relationship, one of whom is seriously ill? When each of the couples have their own stories to tell? All of these things build and bluster into a fierce storm, literal and metaphorical, where they begin to understand a little more about them selves. But have they changed? Will they? Could they?

Evening shows at 8.15pm, matinee at 2.15pm
