Auditions for Playlovers next season - One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest directed by Ian Nichols - will be held on Saturday (Aug 12) at midday at Hackett Hall. This is a demanding play with a large cast so the more the merrier! If you're interested just turn up or contact Ian on poet@omen.net.au for more information.

The following is a run down of the cast requirements. Might there be a part for you?!!!

CHARACTERS IN CUCKOO’S NEST.

CHIEF BROMDEN: A huge, bull-muscled indian who stands six and a half feet tall. Late twenties to early forties.

WARREN AND WILLIAMS: two aides, no specific ages or appearance

NURSE RATCHED: A handsome woman, perhaps in her forties. Her body is ripe and womanly.

NURSE FLINN: younger, perhaps early to late twenties.

HARDING: Late thirties, handsome, effete.

BILLY BIBBIT: Late twenties, but boyish looking.

SCANLON: Older man, in his fifties.

CHESWICK: short, chubby, forties – fifties.

MARTINI: smaller, Italian-looking.

RUCKLY: older man, a once-powerful body, now gone slack.

McMURPHY: powerful, rough-looking man, not necessarily large, thirties- forties.

SPIVEY: no particular appearance, late twenties to fifties.

TURKLE: older man, fifties, worn-looking.

CANDY: mid-twenties – late thirties, pretty, sexy, uninhibited.

SANDRA: Big, earthy woman, mid-twenties – late thirties.

ELLIS, SEFELT, MATTERSON, TECHNICIAN, AIDE: males, no particular description.

NURSE NAKAMURA: No particular description.
