A RIP ROARING COMEDY!

This little Aussie gem features a fantastic ENSEMBLE CAST. It is set in a Goldfields courthouse in the 1890's and is in two acts. Both acts are divided into two different stories with a vast array of entertaining characters.

The play's set spills over into the theatre, which has been transformed to become a courthouse especially for the performances. Actors play one, two or sometimes even three roles in one night! Book now! Definitely one not to be missed!

ACT ONE - "Faith, Hope & Chastity" and "Morgan the Organ" -

Mr Duncan Farquar Ballantyne the most learned and respected (ahem cough cough) magistrate presides over the court in a certain Goldfields district. The recently graduated Mr James McGregor will officiate as Clerk of Courts.

In "Faith, Hope and Chastity" Jeremiah P Cranshaw, formerly of the El Dorado Saloon in California is charged with disrupting Madame Hortense DuPree's Theatricals and addressing her young ladies in a most improper and vulgar manner to the great consternation of the artistes concerned. Mr Cranshaw is further charged with causing a melee and a fracas during which he insults a trooper and Mrs Lillianne Postlethwaite ruins her best beaded bodice.

In "Morgan the Organ" Mr Hugh Morgan, a church organist, and Mrs Morag Morgan, his wife, each charge the other with assault. Mrs Morgan is further charged with abusive language following an altercation outside the home of Mrs Grace Goodbody, the coloratura soprano with the well-developed vibrato, during which poor Mrs Fyshe is forced to leave her sick-bed and Mr Morgan is forcibly struck with a china receptacle.

ACT TWO - "Duffy's Wake" and "Patience Rewarded" -

The Hon. Tobias Edmund Roundtree, a most learned magistrate who has recently arrived in the colonies from the Courts of London, presides. The local identity, Mr Benjamin Throssell, as customary, will officiate as Mr Roundtree's Clerk of Courts.

In "Duffy's Wake" Seamus Duffy, his wife, his doctor, and his man Muldoon all deny liability for a substantial account for alcoholic beverages purchased from The Harp of Erin, a doctor attends a death, a barmaid leaves her post without permission, and a second-best bed is moved into the Duffy parlour during a thunder storm.

In "Patience Rewarded" Mrs Patience Bracegirdle of Bracegirdle's Academy for the Instruction of Young Gentlewomen has difficulty maintaining matriarchal control over her daughter and granddaughter, the vicar's son is locked in a woodshed in very suspicious circumstances, a Trooper is flyblown, and the Hon. Fitzclarence is anxious to see what will develop.

Mirth, merriment and mayhem bound to ensue!

And there are "Featured" drinks on sale at the bar, in keeping with the theme of the play!
