Yes, that's right, in the "What's On This Month" box, Blak Yak Theatre announce a season of four (4) one-act plays. What are they, you ask...ANNOUNCING BLAK YAK’S LATEST PRODUCTIONBlak Yak is proud to present our eclectic collection of short plays in our
Annual One Act Season. This year, as well as two plays of our own, "Cato’s Daughter" and "Two Men in Buckram", we are proud to present two guest performances - "Lifeline" performed by Waiting In the Wings and Melville Theatre’s "Blind Date".Set on The Ides of March, "Cato’s Daughter" is written by Margaret Wood and
directed by Louise Carson. While Caesar and Brutus are “having it out” in
the Forum, Mrs Caesar and Mrs Brutus meet for a cup of coffee.Directed by Luke Grimes, the black comedy "Two Men in Buckram" by Ian Austin asks “How easy is it to manipulate people? Many individuals from dictators to actors have discovered the answer...”In Frank Marcus’ "Blind Date", directed by Nicola Bond, Angie’s friend
Nicola has arranged for her to meet her boss, Brian, on a blind date - but
not all goes to plan..."Lifeline" written by local author Barry Lucas, is a moving piece about a
man trapped in a flood without hope of rescue and explores his final
thoughts and feelings.Our One Act Season plays for TWO NIGHTS ONLY at the Don Russell Performing
