Almost time again for the big night in Perth Community Theatre. The annual ITA Finley Award Presentation Night will be held this Sunday evening, December 16, from 7.30 pm at the Bridge Theatre, Northbridge (same as last year).
For those of you who are unaware (or for our interstate friends), a production entered in the Finley Awards is viewed and assessed by members of a team of independent adjudicators. Marks are awarded and forwarded to an independent coordinator. Only this coordinator (and one auditor) are privy to all the marks and the final results.
As always, the evening will present some of the highlights from this past year of theatre, showcasing excerpts from various recent productions, and culminating in the presentation of the ITA Finley Awards. Tickets are $12 each and can be reserved by calling Kim on 9291-5045. Last year there were some leftover tickets which could be purchased at the door, but we strongly advise you to book (if you haven't already).
There were a few concerns last year that the show went overlength. This year, snipers will be positioned in the wings to deal with offenders. Always a great way to catch up with friends and acquaintances before the Christmas/New Year break, and always an evening of sparkling entertainment (despite the presenter at the end).
Hope to see you there,
Jarrod Buttery,
President, ITA.
