The ITA's inaugural Interact weekend is over, and by all accounts it was an overwhelming success. Over the three days, we received approximately 120 participants taking their choice of 37 theatre workshops hosted by nearly two dozen of the friendliest and most talented facilitators in Perth.
Unreserved thanks are extended to Don Allen, Emma Bacon, Katrina Bercov, Rebecca Davis, Genevieve Dugard, Lucy Eyre, Andy Fraser, Stephen Furtado, Sonia Garbellini, Dr Geoff Gibbs, Stuart Halusz, Andrew Horabin, Ingrid Klaasenholm, Grant Malcolm, Bill McClusky, Ann Miller, Collin O'Brien, Noel O'Neill, Michael & Angela Sanderson-Green and Kimberley Shaw for their informative, imaginative and thoroughly engaging workshops.
Thanks also to the warm, friendly and enthusiastic participants - some from as far afield as Bunbury, Kargoorlie and Northam. Everyone - facilitators and participants alike - acknowledged that Interact was a wonderful initiative, that it was thoroughly enjoyable, and that it should become a regular event. There were plenty of comments as to how we can make it even bigger and better for next time, so please feel free to get in touch with any more suggestions or feedback.
I'm the first to admit that an event this large was a huge risk, so the ITA is thrilled with the support that it has received and the positive responses it has generated.
Thanks again to everyone concerned.
Jarrod Buttery,
President, ITA.
