Happy New Year! I hope that people have been able to enjoy the holidays. This posting is to inform you of the upcoming Stage Combat Courses I'll be offering in the first half of the year. All courses are run under the auspices of the Society of Australian Fight Directors Inc. and the Society awards the appropriate certification to all candidates who successfully complete their course. BASIC STAGE COMBAT COURSE
Dates: Every Monday night beginning Feb. 10 and continuing until late June 2003. Two weeks off during April school holidays.
Time: 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
Location: Mt. Lawley
Fighting Styles: Unarmed Combat and Rapier & Dagger
Fee: $545 (incl. GST) SIGNIFICANT DISCOUNTS AVAILABLE
DETAILS: No previous experience necessary, this is for complete beginners, or for those who have had some training but have not attempted the Basic exam. The fee includes all classes, weapons provision, handouts and exam fee.

INTERMEDIATE & ADVANCED STAGE COMBAT COURSES
Dates: Every Monday night beginning Feb. 10 and continuing until late June 2003. Two weeks off during the April school holidays.
Time: 7:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Location: Mt. Lawley
Fighting Styles: Intermediate - Broadsword/Rapier & Buckler/Smallsword Advanced - Broadsword/Unarmed Combat/Case of Rapiers/Smallsword/Rapier & Cloak
Fee: $545 (incl. GST) SIGNIFICANT DISCOUNTS AVAILABLE
DETAILS: To register for the Intermediate course, you must have previously completed the Basic course. To register for the Advanced course, you must have previously completed both the Basic and Intermediate courses. The fee includes all classes, weapons provision, handouts and exam fee.

NATIONAL STAGE COMBAT WORKSHOP

For the first time ever, its coming to W.A. Sydney hosted 2001, Brisbane in 2002 and now its Perth's turn for 2003!
All the courses listed above will be offered with the added bonus of having several Fight Directors and Instructors from interstate on the teaching staff. The dates are still to be finalised, but are tentatively slated for the first two weeks of July. This will be an intensive fortnight of swashbuckling, so if find you can't do the Monday nights, then perhaps this is the solution for you. Of course, if you REALLY want to be Errol Flynn, you could do the Monday nights, and then progress straight on up to the next level at the Nationals.
