The Blue Room International Playreading season kicks off this weekend.

This short FREE festival will be held at the Blue Room Theatre from November 7th to 10th.

Burnt Piano

Burnt Piano is a play of wisdom and humanity, full of music, poetry and wry humour. It celebrates the refuge of art and the power of forgiveness. Directed by Adam Mitchell and featuring, Talei Howell-Price, Murray Dowsett, Rosemary Barr and Andrew Warwick.

The Goat

Monday 8th November, 7pm
Funny, shocking and ultimately harrowing, The Goat begins as domestic comedy and ends as a Greek Tragedy. This is a drama about a marriage in crisis, but with an extraordinary twist. Directed by Don Smith and featuring Geoff Kelso, Polly Low and John Robinson.

King Kevin

Tuesday 9th November, 7pm
In the past, King Kevin believed murder and pillage were the ways to glory and fortune. In the future, he’s going to find things even easier. Directed by George Blazevic and featuring Mel Cantwell, Pippa Williamson.

Keeper

Wednesday 10th November, 7pm
Kevin and Neil have gatecrashed a party. Maybe something else was crashed as well…the teenage hosts’ skull perhaps? Directed by John Aitken and featuring Shaun Martindale and Mark Maitland and Nicholas McRobbie.
