HAVE you heard the call? All creative spirits in the port city are being encouraged to register with the City of Fremantle Cultural Database to form a network of the many unique talents on offer.

Cultural Development Coordinator Phil Thomson said any Fremantle-based person involved in local arts and culture could register on the database for free.

“That means everyone from musicians, actors, puppeteers and painters, right through to authors, comedians, cartoonists and DJs,” he said. “Even filmmakers and fashion designers are welcome to register.

“This helps to put artists and performers in touch with other like-minded individuals while also allowing them to be found easily, whenever someone is looking for their innovative and often imaginative talents.

“Fremantle has long been regarded as a cultural melting pot, thanks to its cosmopolitan, vibrant and eclectic nature which has seen it become home to artists of all genres and cultures.”

People can register on the database by e-mailing Phil Thomson at culture@fremantle.wa.gov.au or calling him on 9432 9716 with a mailing address.
