Hi everyone. We are a group of Curtin film students currently working on a short-film. We are looking to hopefully film on Saturday 15th Oct and Sunday 16th of Oct and possibly surrounding days. But we will be filming around the availability of our actors so dont stress we will work around your schedule.
Mistaken Existence is a non-linear film about a young woman trying to deal with some existence issues. We are looking for three main actors for the film and some extras. This is a non-profit film so we are unable to pay our actors, but the experience will be rewarding and we will provide a copy of the film afterwards.
The parts are as follows:
-SADIE (Early 20s, Female, any ethnicity): Obviously distressed by an incident at work, SADIE has trouble coming to terms with her purpose in life. SADIE is overdramatic and perhaps a little reliant on others for support.
-PETER (Late 20s/early 30s, Male, any ethnicity): PETER is SADIES housemate and best friend. PETER is happy, confident and a bit of a larrikin. PETER is level-headed, yet comical and balances out SADIES melodramatic personality. PETER is a homosexual, yet it is not a fundamental part to the plot.
-We need a WOMAN in their 40s/50s/60s (we dont really mind) for a non-speaking part.
-And also a MALE (20s) for a non-speaking part who wouldnt mind smooching SADIE.
Those who miss out on a main role may also have a chance at some other minor roles in the film.
A certain amount of interpretation and improvisation on the actors part are also encouraged.
Auditions are being held on Friday the 7th Oct, Saturday the 8th Oct, Sunday the 9th Oct and Monday the 10th Oct. To confirm an audition time, call Whitney on 0409917766 or e-mail me at whitneylives@hotmail.com. I am also able to e-mail you a copy of the script, or you can read it before your audition time. I am friendly so any questions you have, feel free to call.
