I have been amazed that no one has mentioned the detrimental effect to the theatre business if the clocks are changed to give an extra hour of daylight savings in WA
The Shakespeare in the Park would either have to start in the daylight or would start - therefore finish - one hour later. How many punters would like to start watching open air theatre or cinema at 9.00 at night.
The fireworks would start an hour later and result in many families still trying to find their ways home at midnight.
Would the theatres and cinemas be as busy if it is bright daylight when the audience go in?
Have a magical 2006 and may this be the best year ever for the theatre business in WA
Thanks go to the workers who keep this site going. It is a big service to the industry. Well done you are much appreciated
