DRPAC Presents... An Evening with Bobby Darin, starring James Flynn
He’s baaaaaaack. Superstar vocalist and entertainer James Flynn returns to The Don with the latest show in his hugely popular tribute series.
An Evening with Bobby Darin pays tribute to an extraordinary musician, songwriter, actor and all-round performer whose short life belies his achievements.
Darin won two Grammy awards, created one of the highest selling records of his generation (Mack the Knife), performed at top nightclubs in Vegas, acted in 13 films, broke attendance records at the legendary New York club Copacabana, hosted his own TV variety show and is acknowledged in the Songwriters Hall of Fame, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Providing swinging support is Flynn’s 8-piece mini big band featuring Perth Jazz elites Matt Jodrell (trumpet), Carl MacKay (saxaphone), Ray Walker (Guitar), Mike Nelson (piano), Paul Millard (trumpet), Mike Perkins (drums), Matt Willis (bass) and Jeremy Grieg (trombone).
Be prepared to be dazzled by Flynn once again, as he performs hits such as Beyond the Sea, Hello Young Lovers, Splish Splash, Dream Lover and many more.
