Set in a nation in transition from one regime to another.
A suspected torturer from the outgoing regime finds himself
the captive of one of the victims of torture under the
previous regime. Is he actually the torturer? Will his death ease the
pain of the victim? Are we all capable of evil deeds?

This play reaches out on many levels. From the personal to the national.
Who has the right to exact revenge and how do you determine what
is the truth? Are we ourselves all capable of becoming the torturer
given the right circumstances? How do nations rebuild themselves after
a transition without extracting or creating a future of payback and
revenge?
