Craig Pospisil

Diana Nicol

SUNDAY MATINEE - commences at 3.00pm

A wedding, a break-up, a graduation, the death of a friend and a romance going nowhere, sounds like a busy plot but Craig Pospisil breaks new ground with this very clever slice of life play.

With a short play for each month, this leading light in a new wave of American writers gradually entwines the lives of a family and friends over the course of a year. The graduation speech that goes horribly wrong, “Well mainly we’re angry because you took all the good drugs, had all the good sex, and then made all the good money. The only thing you’re leaving us is the bill.”

A declined marriage proposal on a beach that leads to a hunt for the lost ring and reconciliation and a marriage that almost breaks up over the Beetles’ Yellow Submarine. Don’t expect a neatly packaged story, just Months On End that will make you feel part of an extended family you’ll recognise.
