This original play is a comtemporary/futuristic slant on the myths of Narcissus and Echo.

There's Hera, right, looking for Zeus's latest misbehaving, but she is stalled by the nymph Echo, who talks alot, and then some. Hera bewitches Echo so she is now only able to parrot the last words of anything that is said to her ... Then there arrives Narcissus and Pan, both feeling, er, well, "in the mood for something special" and are either completely led on by Echo, or completely rejected by her ... it's hard to tell .. considering that she can only parrot the last words of anything said to her ...

NARCISSUS is one of two productions ARENA is presenting at this year's DRAMAFEST.

It is performing at (yes, don't ba-deek! at the timeslot we drew) yes, at 10.00 A.M. on SUNDAY OCTOBER 1st, at the Marloo Theatre (Marloo Rd, Greenmount), performing first, with Melville Theatre's "Jamie's Chooks" and Playlovers' "Fumed Oak" to follow.

Theatre on a Sunday morn? Why not? Lunch in the Swan Valley is only a short trip away ...
