The Blue Room Theatre and Side Pony Productions present Scarecrow, written by Don Nigro, an eerie fable of mythic proportions.
Cally (Adriane Daff) lives with her mother, Rose (Talei Howell-Price), in an isolated farmhouse in the middle of a cornfield.
Rose hasn't been outside the house since Wednesday last week and spends her time pouring over National Geographic’s and bickering with Cally, preparing herself for the inevitable.
Rose’s eccentricities slowly become suffocating as the two women manipulate each other’s fears and Cally dreams of a world beyond the cornfield.

From one of Australia’s most original contemporary playwrights, Vanessa Bates (Checklist for an Armed Robber), this is a black comedy with songs – a night of stories told by twilight (the original kind) with werewolves and with magic…
