Only saw it this morning but there was a big writeup about the 'Doll' in Yesterdays West. Very Favourable. Big center-page spread in the ARTS Section.

Well done guys. If only the papers did more of it.

Casting Catastrophy

This play left much to be desired. The casting was absolutely hideous. I couldn't stand Olive esspecially, but Barney, Roo and Pearl followed closely behind. The only characters I liked were Bubba and Emma, and Bubba over acted hideously. Otherwise the actual setting was terrific, the blocking was well done, and the acting was good, it was only the fact that the wrong actors were used for the parts.

The acting was good, but the actors were in the wrong parts? Isn't this a bit of a paradox? If the acting was good, then the actors should be able to play any role...
