“Charlotte’s Web” is an enchanting tale by E.B White about friendship, trust and love, and beautifully adapted for the stage by Joseph Robinette (who also adapted “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe”). It is a timeless tale that adults will remember from their childhood and children will be familiar with after the release of the film late last year. It promises not only be some production, it will be terrific, radiant and humble…an experience you will always remember. Cider Mill Inn is an old, rustic country inn owned by an endearing elderly couple, Michael and Susan Edwards. At first they appear to be bordering on senility. We quickly learn however that they are very clever con artists, preying on their unsuspecting guests. Using an elaborate check-in form, guests are, in fact, signing a work contract, requiring them to perform various improvements at the inn. Plumbers, tile layers, carpenters and electricians are recruited to do work they never expected. But what is Susan's secret?
