May I enquire as to what constitutes adult and youth?

I would refer to someone like Norma, who has a lot of experience with the festival. However, from memory, youth has been under 18's - although they may have been changed. Last year most of the youth entries were from primary school age groups. If you are thinking of submitting something, I would recommend the adult section.

Hey Daniel,

Just thought I'd put the question forward simply because I've been reading around various "youth" aimed competitions and festivals and the term can be used for anyone under and up to about age 24.

Age range for Festival

Sorry not to have posted a reply earlier - have only just got around to thinking of something other than the play I'm currently involved in! YouthFest has two sections , corresponding (approximately) to primary and secondary school ages.

Junior Section - 'up to' age 13

Senior Section - 13-18 Ages as at the time of the Festival.

Ages apply to the actors. Director can be "of any age". For mixed aged casts, we leave it to the discretion of the Director as to which section they wish to enter. Hope this clears up any confusion regarding the Festival definition of 'youth'

Thank you

hey Tari,

You think of doing something for the festival? You would be still under 18, right?

Set just before the turn of the century amidst a rapidly changing late Victorian society, two brothers: Victor and William Godfrey, once rescued from a life of orphanages and cold streets, safeguard the house of their late benefactor Arthur Worthing. But death has rearranged the boundaries the late Mr. Worthing erected in life, and soon... the halls of Worthing manor are full of the most unexpected guests, many of whom remember the old man by very different terms. Life has grown convoluted for the brothers Godfrey, but all will be well if Victor can win the hand of the fair Parthena and William can hide his greatest secret as it dangles right under everyone's noses. Times are changing, but will they change for the better?
