How The Other Half Loves concerns three couples: Frank and Fiona Foster; Bob and Teresa Phillips; William and Mary Featherstone. Frank employs both Bob and William and is considering promoting the latter. Bob is having an affair with Frank’s wife Fiona and is in constant conflict with his own wife, Teresa. She feels Bob is neglecting her while she raises their baby and is suspicious of his actions and phantom phone-calls made to the house. When he returns late, she confronts him about his actions and he lies that he has been comforting work associate William, who believes his wife Mary is having an affair.
Frank and Fiona’s relationship is in stark contrast to the torrid emotions of Bob and Teresa’s. They share a polite, distant and evasive relationship and when Frank asks Fiona where she has also been, she says she has been comforting Mary - who she barely knows - who apparently believes William is having an affair. Of course, William and Mary are innocent parties and neither of the adulterers realise they have both implicated the Featherstones in their alibis. Both parties swear their partners to secrecy - particularly as both couples are entertaining the Featherstones on successive nights. With the couples seeming to be on the verge of splitting up it comes to it’s hilarious conclusion with total confusion due to Franks clumsy efforts to clear the air.

I went along on Thursday 13th to see this show, with a generous and neutral mind hoping to dispell the mad critics opinions and found the theatre closed, but with no sign or explanation why the show was cancelled.

A good reason, presumably.

I'm sure an explanation will be forthcoming, Gordon. Harbour would not have taken such action without good reason, but it does seem odd that there was nobody present or a notice of some kind prominently displayed. I was only speaking with Nicola this afternoon (Thursday 13th) and she gave no indication of anything amiss. In fact she was rather excited about the very good numbers of bookings, so I imagine there must have been quite a crowd of puzzled and disappointed patrons assembled at the door.
Something unforeseen must have occurred, and as frustrating as it may be for patrons to be left in the dark, there will be a very good reason for it.

Please don't think the worst. I personally will vouch for Harbour's high standard of integrity.

On the poster it clearly

On the poster it clearly stated there was no performance on that night as well as the dates on the BOCS website.

Rest assured that if the performance had been cancelled, someone would at the very least placed a notice on the door.

My apologies for the inconvenience Gordon, it looks like it wasnt posted correctly on here to begin with.

Hopefully you may be able to see one of the last two performances, but thankyou for making us aware of this error

Warm regards

Robert
