SYNOPSIS
Set at the turn of the 20th Century, David Mamet’s 1999 play focuses on a “Boston marriage” - a relationship between two females, Anna and Claire, that involves both physical and emotional intimacy.
An incisive and witty satire, Boston Marriage highlights both repressed desire and class hostility while it debunks Victorian pretensions and hypocrisies.
Mixed with humour and nuance, it aligns with a thoroughly Wildean world as it explores the negotiations, conflicts, compromises and reconcilations that arise - with hilarious outcomes.

No, Playlovers is not doing a musical adaption of Tinto Brass's 1992 soft porn movie of the same name. Playlovers is actually doing a classical opera. This is a fully staged production with orchestra and importantly sung in English.
