Zack Adams: Elevator (ENCORE SEASON)

Shane Adamczak

Zack Adams: Elevator

Zack is back! After years of slogging it out as a struggling artist, he’s finally hit the big time. But on opening night of his highly-anticipated second solo show, Zack Adams is trapped, in an Elevator. And with only one hour to make his big performance, he must travel down ten floors and along the way finds himself dealing with far more than he bargained for.

Following the success of his debut show Zack Adams: A Complete History Of Zack Adams in Perth, Adelaide Fringe, Brisbane Fringe and Melbourne Comedy Festival; and the sold-out Perth debut of Elevator (Sept 06) writer/performer Shane Adamczak brings the lanky, loveable, loon back to the stage in his brand new show which promises an exciting hybrid of comedy and physical theatre, stand-up, music, dance, a dysfunctional Japanese toy robot, a deranged talking elevator, a singing ghost and even some inappropriate mime.

Strictly Limited season! Elevator plays for 5 PERTH SHOWS ONLY at the East Amphitheatre before the show tours to The Melbourne International Comedy Festival.

“Doesn’t Miss a Beat”
-The Advertiser

“He’s like a grown up Calvin (without Hobbes)”
-Nathan Grassi, Total Theatre

“Fortunate enough to have two essentials for comedy - an abundance of energy and instant charisma… his mind works in an off-kilter way… Someone should check the strength of his medication.”
-The West Australian

After getting a divorce from C.K. Dexter Haven, Tracy Lord prepares to marry again… however, in the days before her wedding, Haven and a reporter, posing as her brother’s friend, show up at her doorstep. From there, Tracy is forced to choose among her past love, her present love and her new love. Amidst the situation comedy, and fast-paced dialogue, Barry explores several contemporary social issues, such as society’s perception of class differences in America and attitudes towards adultery and divorce in the 1930’s.
