Carpe Idiotus presents H.A.P.P.Y

Carpe Idiotus

H.A.P.P.Y by Carpe Idiotus

Be transported to a world of outrageous antics and mischievous shenanigans when comedy duo Carpe Idiotus performs a Perth exclusive of H.A.P.P.Y at the Don Russell Performing Arts Centre on Friday 7 March at 8pm.

New South Welshmen Tony Williams and Dennis Clare are Carpe Idiotus, which translates to ‘seize the idiots’.

Its brand new production H.A.P.P.Y is a comic cocktail with an intoxicating mix of music, mime and madness producing a fun and outrageous theatrical treat for all ages.

Hilarious songs, visual theatre, improvisation and interactive comedy blend seamlessly to create this thoroughly engaging show.

In one skit, a wardrobe malfunction gives rise to an embarrassing but funny solution. In another, a giant silver slinky (otherwise used for air-conditioning ducting) ingeniously comes to life in unimaginable ways.

Singer-songwriter Williams is the perfect foil for the antics and mayhem of mime artist and comedian Clare. The pair has performed at festivals, theatres, corporate events and comedy clubs throughout Australia and overseas.

Williams has 15 years’ song writing and singing experience and has released two albums, while Clare is a gifted mime and performance artist having performed at major festivals throughout the world including World Expo in 1988.
