Is There Life after High School?
So what do you remember from high school? How many names and school songs and useless facts and disasters with the opposite sex are stuck in your head? No matter how long ago it was, some things you never manage to forget.
Craig Carnelia’s brilliant Broadway hit musical, Is There Life After High School? explores them all, through nine people’s memories of what it was like for them. Some things were funny at the time, some look funny now, and some will never be funny because the kid you once were can still feel them.
It’s a fabulous piece, which gets inside the ways individual people experience typical moments in the messy business of growing up, in the way the same writing team did with relationship issues in I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change. Very funny, sometimes very painful, it’s not just about them; it’s about us, and about you.

The Western Australian Youth Theatre company holds regular Sunday afternoon courses in ensemble theatre for young people between 12 and 19 years old. We recommend that participants be of High School age or above, and discourage primary school students from enrolling until they’ve made the move to High School.
