A handful of guests gather at a country mansion for a social weekend. Included in the house party is the famous Inspector Wallingford and unfortunately wherever he goes confusion and mystery seem to follow.

Pay Cisca Manetti

by Jean Oliver. Directed by Lee Thompson.

An Australian story: not really a drama, not really a comedy. More a snapshot of life in a    Melbourne suburb in the mid 60s. A migrant Italian family tries to cope with life in a new country and to feel that they belong. Then the school community becomes involved with them…

Featuring: Richard Coleman, Tracey Myhill, Michael Haynes, Georgia Wilson, Ann Hopwell,  Carol Skelton,  Marjorie DeCaux,  Rosemary Mowbray.                  .

The Boor Hug

A French farce by Georges Feydeau. Directed by Jean-Marie Pasquier

Set in the late 1800s, Casimir must end his relationship with Mimi to marry the daughter of his Godmother who stutters and is filthy rich. He also has to replace his maid and brings in Flugel, a German valet, from the border of the Alsace countryside. Flugel is a simple and pure soul whose unbelievable blundering causes the total collapse of Casimir’s wedding plans to the delight of Mimi.

Featuring: Michael Haynes, Lisa Skrypichayko, Ted Simpson, Sallie Ketteringham.

Dinner For  One

Directed by David Green.

Miss Sophie wants to celebrate her 90th birthday with her friends: Sir Toby, Admiral Von Schneider, Mr. Pommeroy, and Mr. Winterbottom. There is only one problem…Miss Sophie has outlived all her invited guests. Not to let that stop a good party, her butler James is required to do the toasts (and drinking)  for each missing party member; all this while serving dinner and avoiding the rug.

Featuring: Veronica Fourie and Ray Egan.

W.A. Mozart and Lorenzo da Ponte.

Musical Director: David Hardie. Stage Director: Paul Treasure.

No, Playlovers is not doing a musical adaption of Tinto Brass's 1992 soft porn movie of the same name.  Playlovers is actually doing a classical opera. This is a fully staged production with orchestra and importantly sung in English.
