DAVID WILLIAMSON'S
"SANCTUARY"

A Bakehouse Theatre Company production
Directed by Joh Hartog
Featuring Peter Green (as Bob King) and Kurt Murray (as John Anderson)

We all know that 'every man has his price' but who determines what that price is?

His own conscience? Society? the media? the corporate and social elite behind the media?

What is your integrity worth? What is your deal that is too good to refuse?

Bob King (foreign correspondent turned self-serving media personality) uses his cynicism and the wisdom of experience to make his moral judgements. He believes that he has resolved these issues years ago and found both his physical and emotional "Sanctuary".
That is until John Anderson turns up to challenge it. The psychological and emotional battle that ensues ignites a string of moral dilemmas for both men.
John begins with all the self-righteousness and certainty of youth, but it is soon apparent that his views have been twisted by the psychology of abuse, leaving his claim to ojectivity and his high moral ground seriously undermined.
With strong emotions thrown into the mix of the deep resentment and contempt flowing between these two men, it doesn't seem likely that their arguments will be resolved by debating.

If talking doesn't resolve the issues, what does? Come and see if this brilliantly written play by David Williamson helps you find your "Sanctuary" (or at least your price)
