The 29th South West One Act Drama Festival will be held over the weekend of 13 & 14 September 2008 at the New Lyric Theatre Theatre, 7 Bourke Street in Bunbury. (a week earlier than usual)
The Youth Section, with productions from youth theatre groups and from schools, will be held on Saturday morning 13 September, with the adjudication and awards at the end of the morning before lunch. There are 6 productions to be performed, ranging from 10 to 40 minutes.
The Main Section will be held over the rest of Saturday (afternoon and evening)and Sunday morning with adjudication at the end of each session, and the awards at the end on Sunday afternoon. Entries come from Perth and Country theatre companies. The number of porductions this year is 12.
The Adjudicator this year is John Senczuk.
This is a smorgasboard of theatre with great entainment, with established plays and original plays being performed.
Tickets will be on sale at the theatre door during the weekend. Prices for the Youth Session is adults $10 and children free. The ticket prices for the Main sessions are $12 adults and $8 for children under 15. The Weekend ticket for the entire festival is $30.
