The Return @ Kwinana Arts Centre

Reg Cribb

Karen Francis

A penetrating drama, rife with black humour and many twists and turns,
The Return, written by Reg Cribb, and adapted in to a film in 2006 (The Last Train to Freo), will hold you in your seat from start to finish.

At midnight, on a hot summer’s night two ex cons (Scott Hansen & Jason Arrow recently from We Will Rock You), catch the last train to Freo.

Bored, restless, and looking for trouble, they start to poke fun at their mind numbing existence. Until a beautiful young law student (Katy Marks) steps in to the carriage, alone and seemingly unaware that the guards are on strike.

Intrigued by her bravado, the men use their off beat charm to compete for her attention. But there’s more to this young woman than meets the eye.

And when two other passengers (Diana Oliver, Vagina Monologues & Tom Hennessy, (We Will Rock You), enter the train, the balance of power takes an unexpected twist.

LEGentertainment (Australia) auditions for
By Jeeves!

Sir Andrew Lloyd-Webber, and Alan Ayckbourn

Scott-Leonard Landers

By George! By Jove! By Jeeves!

From the classic P.G. Wodehouse stories of the amiably dense Bertie Wooster and his estimable manservant Jeeves,
two of the theater's most celebrated talents have fashioned a jolly chamber
musical chock full of hilarity and invention. Bertie is looking forward to
enlivening a charity benefit at a church hall when his beloved banjo
mysteriously goes missing. Assisted by the unflappable Jeeves, Bertie instead
entertains the audience with an improvised account of how he and two chums -
with, as one song puts it, "a collective I.Q. of around 42" - all got their
names and identities confused in the course of one riotously raucous weekend.
This tale of escalating chaos and labyrinthine high jinx unfolds to the
accompaniment of one of Andrew Lloyd-Webber's most vivacious and sprightly
scores. BY JEEVES cleverly intertwines the twin English passions for amateur
theatrics and bumbling silliness, taking us back to a time when flirty girls
pursued men, not careers, and where good breeding took precedence over
brainpower.
