Terence O'Connell

The Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts proudly presents the all-singing, all-dancing musical comedy extravaganza, 42nd Street, at the Regal Theatre in Subiaco from Wednesday 17 to Saturday 20 June at 7.30pm, with a matinee on 20 June at 2pm.
Performed by WAAPA’s Musical Theatre students and with direction by Terence O’Connell, this Tony Award-winning musical follows the fortunes of ingénue Peggy Sawyer on her meteoric rise from chorus girl to overnight Broadway sensation during the Great Depression.
Now Perth audiences can enjoy the brilliant dance routines, synchronized tap ensembles and memorable tunes – including such musical theatre gems as ‘We’re in the Money’, ‘Lullaby of Broadway’ and the showstopping title song – for which 42nd Street is justly famous.
