Beijing To Broadway – A Musical Journey From East to West

Gifted young Chinese tenor Jun Zhang was born in Xin Yang in the province of Henan, China, attended the Australian Opera Studio, and is now studying for a Master of Music degree at the WA Conservatorium. He will tell the story of his journey - sometimes dramatic and moving sometimes amusing – into Western Opera.

Jun will sing a wide variety of favourite music in English, French, Italian and Mandarin. There will be popular arias such as ‘Nessun Dorma’ (Turandot), ‘La Donna e Mobile’ (Rigoletto) and the Flower Song from Carmen, romantic ballads, Chinese folk songs and Broadway showstoppers. And his English is excellent!
